Marc Wilkow is the President, Chief Executive Officer and a principal of M & J Wilkow, a Chicago-based full service commercial real estate company that has been in business for 78 years. Mr. Wilkow has served in his current capacity with M & J Wilkow since 1983. From 1977 to 1983, he was a Vice President and General Counsel of the Company, and prior to that, an associate with the law firm of Friedman & Koven. Under Mr. Wilkow’s leadership, M & J Wilkow has grown its national real estate portfolio into 8.3 million square feet of retail and office properties. The retail portfolio currently totals 4.2 million square feet and includes retail assets around the country from the Islands of Hawaii to suburban Philadelphia. These retail properties include the super-regional Waterfront Shopping Center in Pittsburgh, PA; Town Center of Mililani, one of Hawaii’s highest performing community shopping centers; East Gate Square Shopping Center, a dominant regional power center in the greater Philadelphia market; and Magnolia Park, Greenville, South Carolina’s premier lifestyle retail destination. Mr. Wilkow is, or has been, affiliated with nonprofit organizations including the Spertus Institute of Jewish Studies (Past Chairman of the Board), the Jewish Family and Community Service (Past President), The Standard Club of Chicago (Past President), Mt. Sinai Hospital and Medical Center (Past member of the Board), and the University of Chicago Law School (Past member of the Visiting Committee). In August 2015, Mr. Wilkow was awarded the Honorary Degree - Doctor of Humane Letters from the Spertus Institute. Mr. Wilkow is a graduate of the University of California at Los Angeles where he received a B.A. (magna cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa), and the University of Chicago Law School where he received a J.D. He is a licensed attorney and a licensed real estate broker in Illinois, Pennsylvania and Hawaii.
